| Shewalter is a member of CMS Select Choir |
Ariana Shewalter is a seventh grader who is a member of Chillicothe Middle School Select Choir. Ariana enjoys singing and performing. Ms. Mullins is the middle school choir director. During the first month of school, she evaluates students who would work well together during regular choir class. She looks for students who not only have talent but also have strong work ethics and social skills. Students meeting the qualification are then invited to join the Select Choir. The Select
Choir meets twice a week after school. During the month of January and February, students meet three times a week in order to prepare for the Ohio Music Education Association competition (OMEA). This year OMEA competition will be held March 11, 2017, at Miami Trace Middle School. The contest is open to the public.
