Mr. Baker!

Eighth grade American History educator,, Mr. Baker.

Mr. Baker, 8th grade American History teacher was interviewed by journalist Hannah and Maddy on January 13, 2017.  He has been teaching at Chillicothe Middle School for five years. Prior to this job he coached and worked maintenance. He graduated High School at Hilliard and studied at Otterbein University. As a first teaching position, Mr. Baker, came to Chillicothe Middle School as a seventh grade Language Arts educator and when the opportunity presented itself to move to the eighth grade  team he jumped at the chance and  started teaching history.  He chose teaching because he loves working with kids and he loves teaching American history. In addition to teaching,  Mr. Baker also is responsible for the middle school Quiz Bowl team after being inspired by former history educator, Mrs. Town, to take over the team after she retired. Mr. Baker coaches the middle school soccer team, manages the Recycling Leadership Group and can be found early mornings out front on bus duty.  He is enthusiastic, open for any discussion and makes sure his students understand the curriculum.  Thanks for being an awesome teacher!
