Student Lighthouse Team Prepares for March 5th

1. The March 5th Leader in Me Symposium will be sending a group of visitors to CMS-1 and in order to be prepared for this exciting opportunity we need to evaluate some different aspects of our program in order to begin with the end in mind.

 

The tentative schedule for the day will include:

 

Welcome Assembly to include:

Special Music (soloists)

Opening Skit - Opening Act

Orchestra/ Choir

Students Speakers to speak on: Athletics and The Leader in Me, Music and The Leader in Me, Overall Impact of the Leader in Me, Impact of the Leader in Me in our School

How we go to where we are today....

The lighthouse team then evaluated our environment and they came up with these few items for consideration as we prepare for this day:

• Encourage students to "Dress the Best" on March 5th
• We need to make sure we have "The Leader in Me" in every room. 
• Mission Statements should be visible. 

2. Each Leadership representative is asked to share the following with their groups tomorrow:

• The lighthouse team feels that the students aren't taking the groups seriously.  They came up with the idea of having each of the representatives sharing with the group why they feel this program is important for our school. 
• We will have visiors with us on March 5th for the Leader in Me Symposium.  They will share some of the thoughts as to what the day will look like.
• Each leadership group needs to have a "table presentation" prepared for that day.  Each group will need to present information about what we are doing.
• Each group is to think about how they can be involved with the Symposium visit on March 5th.
