Franklin Covey's Leadership took notice of CMS 1's outstanding leadership day that was held on May 2nd. Here's the letter they sent to Principal Aaron Brown:
Aaron,
Congratulations to your students, staff and of course to you, for a fabulous Leadership Day!!!!!
From the moment we were greeted by your leaders until their good-bye at the end of the day, each minute was filled with inspiring examples of leadership at Chillicothe Middle School. What made your day so special was that it is how you're working and learning together each and every day. That true commitment came through clearly and that is grand. That's what Leader in Me is all about. That's
Leadership!
The comments shared by your student and staff panel exemplified that you are finding the leader in every student and that everyone has something to contribute and be part of at your place. It also demonstrated that as leaders they can take responsibility for being good academic students and they are proud of that commitment and the success they are experiencing.
Dr. Covey would be proud. Likewise, your parents and community can be proud of the young adults who are growing up in your school.
