Interview with Principal Ballentine

Interview with Principal Ballentine

On September 21, 2016, Principal Ballentine was interviewed by Journalists Maddy and Taylor, over the possibility of students using DOJO points for free passes into extracurricular events at Chillicothe Middle School.

Mr. Ballentine expressed the idea was good and would definitely be an option for students.  Students could use DOJO points to earn free passes into sporting events but not dances.  The admission for middle school dances cover the cost of the DJ. Coupons for food items would not be available for the concession stand at the sporting events because Chillicothe High School Cheer Team run the concessions as a way to raise money for their trips.  However, food coupons for the middle school dances would be available for students to redeem DOJO points towards because the middle school purchases the food items.

The administration is in the process of determining the number of DOJO points a sport pass will require as well as for food items at the middle school dances.  Mr. Ballentine is taken into consideration the average of DOJO points students earn before making a final decision.

Students with positive behavior will have the potential to earn multiple passes and food coupons as they collect positive DOJO points.  This is a WIN-WIN for everyone!
