Mr. Kaltenback
Meet one of Chillicothe’s 8th grade teachers, Mr. Kaltenback!
He teachers one class of English Language Arts and four classes of science. He began teaching about 12 years ago and has always wanted to be a science teacher. He felt like he had owed science something from how the sciences has impacted his life in so many different areas. He has always had a degree in ELA, but he never taught it until this year. This year is his first year teaching ELA and it is a challenge because the curriculum is new to him. Having two different subjects to prepare for takes more of his personal time than when he just prepared for science. Even though teaching ELA has added to his workload, he loves teaching language arts and appreciates the opportunity to have the experience of working with students as they develop their reading comprehension and written expression.
