Meet Mr. Hatem

Mr. Hatem’s enjoyment in helping children paved the path to a degree in education.  Mr. Hatem teaches an eighth grade math class and two eighth grade history classes here at Chillicothe Middle School. Mr. Hatem has taught at Tiffin Elementary for several years before returning to CMS; he has taught seven year for the district. His favorite between the two is CMS, however in his heart he loves Tiffin. Mr. Hatem expressed this year is by far his best year ever with Chillicothe City School District because of the changes brought about by the new administration.  Mr. Hatem encourages learning through the use of “Brain Bucks” which are given to students each time they answer thought provoking questions. Brain Bucks are placed in a container and with the student's name added and drawn out weekly for random gifts like a selfie sticks, bracelets, Gatorade and edible items. Thank you, Mr. Hatem, for making history come alive and math fun to learn!
